Pipeline visibility for sales leaders

Know what’s likely to close. Understand what needs to change.

Your pipeline report shows what’s in the CRM. Your forecast needs to explain what you can reasonably expect to land, when, and what could get in the way. We establish clear deal stages, consistent forecast rules and reporting grounded in your sales records.

A forecast you can explain

Stop rebuilding the number before every meeting.

Close dates slip without explanation. Deals stay in late stages without a confirmed next step. Each rep has a different definition of “commit.” The dashboard looks healthy until you inspect the opportunities behind it.

We work with your sales leader to establish how the forecast should be built, what evidence supports it and which changes need attention each week.

What we put in place

Clear definitions. Traceable numbers.

01

Clear stages and forecast categories

Define what must be true for a deal to enter each stage, how forecast categories are assigned and when an opportunity needs to move back or leave the active pipeline. Where your history supports it, we use actual conversion patterns to inform assumptions rather than relying on default stage probabilities.

02

Reporting that answers practical questions

See pipeline created, stage conversion, deal age, sales-cycle length, slipped close dates and performance by owner or segment. Reports use agreed definitions, so your team can explain what changed and trace the numbers back to the records.

03

A forecast with visible assumptions

Separate the opportunities your team expects to close from those that still depend on unresolved steps. Make the reasoning behind commit, upside and expected timing visible. Distinguish new business, expansion and renewals where relevant.

04

Weekly pipeline review preparation

Surface deals pushed into another period, opportunities without next steps, stage changes without supporting evidence and concentrated risk in a small number of accounts. Focus the meeting on decisions, actions and support the team needs.

05

A shared view with finance

Agree what “revenue” means in each report and distinguish bookings, recurring revenue, invoicing and recognized revenue where applicable. We work with your finance owner to reconcile the relevant figures and document differences between systems.

From visibility to action

Make the next action clear.

Which opportunities need leadership involvement? Where is coverage thin? Which stage is slowing deals down? Are you missing the target because too little pipeline enters, too few deals convert or expected revenue keeps moving into the next period?

We build reporting around those questions and give each follow-up an owner.

Ongoing ownership

Keep the forecast honest as your business changes.

New products, territories and sales processes change how the numbers should be interpreted. We maintain the reports, review exceptions and compare earlier forecasts with actual outcomes to identify recurring bias.

Your sales leader owns the forecast. We maintain the system and reporting that support their judgment.

Working with Sonan

A clear starting point.

We begin with a free discovery call to understand the problem and decide whether Sonan is a fit. Where a review is useful, the $500 review produces a written assessment and recommended scope. The four-week fix is $7,500, with the scope agreed before work begins. Ongoing ownership is available from $2,000 per month, quoted in writing for your setup.
